Hello Team Elevate! What a blessing to see our guys on the court again last night! As coaches, we were happy with our performance, especially when you consider that he hadn't played in 3 weeks. To be ahead of Gunshow by 20 points early in the second half when they missed beating Built4Ball Force by 1 point in overtime earlier in the year is a good sign for our guys as we now look forward to our next tournament! Here is the link of the game film for those of you who were not able to make it! (Thank you Tera for filming and Brandon for uploading on Youtube)!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKu93pvC0n8Speaking of tournaments, Brad our "Hotel Guru," has once again worked his magic and he got us a great rate at the Red Lion in Lewiston for Sunday, January 17. Call
208-799-1000 today or tomorrow and ask them for one of the "block of Elevate rooms" that are $99 per night. (Thank you Brad!) We will send out more information about the tournament when we receive it from the tournament director.
Here are some other key dates that we are looking into so that you can plan ahead:
1. Tuesday/Thursdays - we are still hoping to find a practice facility and will continue to look for teams to scrimmage as well. Gunshow wants to scrimmage us again on Tuesday 1/26 or 2/2 with either Fusion or Wolfpack.
2. January 17-18 Tournament in Lewiston. Hopefully we will get our game schedule to send to you on Monday!
2. February 13-14 Tournament in Lewiston
3. February 27-28 Tournament in Troy, Idaho
4. March ? Tournament in Lewiston (not sure on the exact date yet)
5. March ? Tournament in Troy, Idaho (not sure on the exact date yet)
6. April ? Tournament in Boise, Idaho - this will give our guys a chance to compete against some of the best teams in the entire Northwest Region!
7. May ? Tournament like Best in The West
We will see you at the New Year's Party today at the Mattson's House (1112 S. Steen Ct. 99037). It is from 4-7 pm, but we are going to watch the Gonzaga vs. BYU game at the end of the party and your son is more than welcome to stay until the end of the game (supposed to be 5:30 - 7:30 pm) and be picked up at 7:40 pm. Don't forget your gift and a drink/dessert to share with your teammates! :-)
Also, Nikita broke his leg at a trampoline park last night. He's really bummed that he can't play with his teammates for at least six weeks. Please keep him in your prayers for a quick recovery!
Thanks again for all your love and support! We love your sons!
God bless and Go Elevate!
-Coach Andy, Brandon, and Tim
